John K. Bakewell

Board Member

John K. Bakewell has served as a member of our board of directors since November 2020. He has served in senior executive roles for nearly three decades, building and executing business strategies for growth companies across the medical device, specialty pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and healthcare provider sectors, while also serving on public- and private-company boards. His professional experience includes serving for nine years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Wright Medical Group, Inc., acquired by Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK) in November 2020, from its private equity-backed reorganization through the company’s initial public offering, multiple years of industry-leading growth and creation of its industry ­ leading lower extremities franchise. Additionally, Mr. Bakewell served in Chief Financial Officer roles at Cyberonics Inc., now part of LivaNova PLC (NASDAQ: LIVN); Lantheus Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: LNTH); Exact Sciences Corporation (NASDAQ: EXAS), a molecular diagnostics company; and RegionalCare Hospital Partners, Inc., now part of LifePoint Health. Mr. Bakewell currently serves on the board of directors of Xtant Medical Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: XTNT), a medical device company. He has previously served on several other public and private company boards, including Neuronetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: STIM), a medical technology company, Entellus Medical, Inc., now part of Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK); ev3, Inc., now part of Medtronic plc. (NYSE: MDT); and Corindus Vascular Robotics, Inc., now a Siemens Healthineers company. He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with seven years, collectively, at KPMG and Ernst & Young. He holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.
